Hello My Friends...

On 11th September 2001 was a day that something terrible happened to change the world and our lives forever... 

At the time I was on the phone with a loved one and we were chatting and laughing at the very minute it happened, I had the TV on in the background, but turned it off just as the plain hit the 2nd tower, I saw an explosion but thought it was an ad for a movie so I turned the TV off to chat on the phone. The scene that happened did not register at that time...

The first I heard of any of it was on the radio in the morning when I woke up the next day and it was all over the radio, so I turned on the TV and sat there horrified at what I saw...

Since then, there have been many quilting projects out there to help with the healing and as a remembrance for that day, not to remember the anguish of what happened, but to remember those who were lost, for many of those who's lives that were lost, they have touched our lives, some of us knew someone there personally but for so many of who did not know anyone, it still touched their lives in ways we have never thought it would... 

Here is one site that has been there to help, but their help is a little different, it gives us a chance to find out about someone who was lost, and then to make a special block just for that person to help in remembering who they were.
